SEA-DOO X-TEAM BOUNTY INCLUDES FIRST TIMER PROGRAM AND RAISES PAYOUTS FOR 2011 CHAMPIONSHIP CAMPAIGN

February 28, 2011 – Valcourt, Quebec - BRP’s 2011 Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty program will offer bigger payouts and support first time Sea-Doo watercraft racers with contingency funds covering entry fee costs.

BRP continues to lead the watercraft industry in grassroots racing support with the 2011 Sea-Doo X-Team Bounty racer contingency program. New for 2011 is the X-TEAM First Timer program that will virtually allow first time Sea-Doo watercraft owners to try racing for free*. First time racers competing in the new box-stock class on Sea-Doo X-series watercraft will receive a one-time Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty contingency equal to the race entry fee*

BRP’s Sea-Doo X-Team Bounty program rewards racers with additional cash payouts for successfully competing aboard Sea-Doo watercraft and finishing in the top two positions at APBA (American Powerboat Association) and IJSBA (International Jet Sport Boating Association) sanctioned closed-course and offshore/endurance races across North America.

BRP is driving the growth of the sport of PWC racing by attracting new participants to competitive events with the X-TEAM First Timer program and offering the most competitive line of PWC muslcecraft with the Sea-Doo RXP-X 255, RXT-X 260 and new RXT-X aS 260 models.

The 2011 Sea-Doo RXT-X 260 features BRP’s Shull design, the only stepped PWC hull providing precise all-conditions handling and keeping the watercraft glued to the water for maximum control. BRP’s RXT-X aS 260 features the new adjustable Suspension with offshore calibration. Racers can adjust the spring and damper settings for a customized set-up to minimize fatigue in rough conditions. With upgraded, race-inspired steering, with A.E.S. (Adjustable Ergonomic Steering) and customizable power delivery with an electronically adjustable ignition system, both Sea-Doo RXT-X models offer closed course and offshore enthusiasts the most advanced high-performance PWC in the industry.

Complimenting the Bounty contingency program is the Sea-Doo X-Team Promoter Support program, assisting select race event producers with additional sponsorship funds to produce high quality, safe events, and to promote the sport with greater reach.

The Sea-Doo X-Team Bounty gets boosted in 2011 with two special VIP style events that select racers will be invited to take part in, but at this time those details are CONFIDENTIAL! One of the events is confirmed to be in conjunction with the IJSBA World Finals event taking place in Lake Havasu City, Arizona this October.

BRP does more to support personal watercraft racing in North America than any other company by supporting more race event producers.  As the only PWC manufacturer to offer an “open sponsorship” racer contingency program of any kind, BRP is dedicated to the sport of PWC racing, the racers, race event promoters, and racing community and is committed to continuing the Sea-Doo high-performance, race-winning heritage.
